Our workshop is equipped to restore everything from precious family heirlooms to priceless antiques. We have been handling fragile, unique, irreplaceable items for more than twenty-five years, so whether your precious item is Grandma's rocking chair or a centuries old clay vessel, you can know it is in good hands at J & J Woodworking.

We work with traditional tools to provide authentic repairs where it is important to maintain originality of one-of-a-kind items. However, we are also equipped to work with the most modern tools and methods for quality and efficiency.

Before replacing the woven seat or back of a chair, it is sometimes necessary to carry out a variety of repairs. Some of these are illustrated below. We also touch up scratches and nicks, remove scuffs, and apply a wax coating to restore the appearance of worn chairs where requested.
